Quick thoughts on Bad Meets Evil – Hell: The Sequel (EP)

Just listened to Bad Meets Evil’s debut EP called Hell: The Sequel, starring Royce da 5’9″ and Eminem. Preview it on Xiami.com if you wanna listen to it.

  • Very good debut for Bad Meets Evil.
  • Bruno Mars… why the fuck he is used here? He feels so out of place, it’s not even funny. It’s like kicking a good EP in the balls just to feature him.
  • I can understand why they’re using Mars. He’s very popular (Why, God, why?) and I’m sure Lighters could be a hit among casual music fans as well as fans of Mars.
  • Sick rhymes, good lyricism and ferocious rapping from both guys.
  • The way Eminem takes a shot on Justin Bieber is kind of tame. You would wish he did it in the same way he did it against Moby back in 2002 on Without Me from The Eminem Show. I like Moby, but Eminem dissed him big time back then.
  • I’ll admit it’s the first time I’ve listened to Royce other than his bit on Eminem’s The Slim Shady LP¬†album. He can hold his own weight against Eminem, but Eminem kills it for pretty much the entire album.
  • I loved some of the references made throughout the EP.
