Yesterday’s thoughts on Barcelona vs. Manchester United

Barcelona vs Manchester United:

Score: 3-1. Barcelona wins.

Goals: Pedro, Messi and Villa for Barcelona; Rooney for Manchester United.

  • Wished Manchester United won so people would stop nuthugging Lionel Messi all the time. He’s great, but hearing all the time how he’s God is tiring.
  • Watching the match was like watching prison rape. The differences between Barcelona and Manchester United were very drastic.
  • I know everybody will say that Messi is the best Barca has, but Xavi and Iniesta should be acknowledged too.
  • Why the hell Ferguson didn’t bother to put Berbatov in the starting line-up? Hell, he didn’t even make it to the bench at all. *facepalms*
  • Manchester United needs better midfielders. Giggs and Scholes are getting old.
  • Without Van Der Ser, it would have been 8-1 for Barca. They need a new goalie since Van Der Sar is retiring. Maybe they should buy Neuer since he won’t continue to play at Schalke 04.
  • I lol’d with Pique stealing the net from the stadium as well as the water sprinkling across the feild to stop Barca players from celebrating inside the field.

  1. I didn’t see the finale but Barca is killing soccer right now. I wish Man U would have been able to put up more of a fight than this.

I agree that Messi gets too much credit at this point, they are solid team machine thats why they are winning all the time.

    • Yep, Barca seems nearly invincible nowadays.

Glad to hear you thinking Messi gets way too much credit. I’m not a fan of Barca, but if anything, Xavi is my favorite out of the team.

Speaking of Messi, after watching Santos vs Peñarol, Pelé took a shot at Messi, as in wishing that he hoped Neymar wouldn’t play like Messi for the Copa America tournament. He said Messi plays great at Barca, but in the National team, he lacks scoring. I’m sure Pele said that to hype the rivalry between Brazil-Argentina and only paying attention to Messi’s work in the World Cup where he has yet to score.

      • Well Messi obviously have a whole lot to prove in the Argentinian shirt. I’m not going on the bandwaggon and praising him above Maradona and Pele before he (Messi) has led them to a world cup victory.
